In the world we live in there are really two different approaches to everything.  There are two different perspectives to marriage, jobs, money, dreams, our belongings, and even our relationships.  Once we choose which direction we are going to go, we tend to stick to that line of thinking until something so powerful and transformational influences our life. It is then that we realize that we were either right or wrong. What are these two mindsets?  Although very simple, they will determine even the most important decisions in your life. It is the difference between living on an island and just being on the island. Here is your life, what do you choose?  Will you be a person that is always working for your good or are you a person that is looking to be an influence for the common good?  The choices and decisions we make are often made with the philosophy, "How does this benefit me?”  So if helping someone benefits me then count me in.  However, there is a way, a people, a path that can be taken where people think and believe they are here to benefit the COMMON GOOD. These are people that make decisions with the thought, "How will this bless the people around me?" Christ was the first to walk this “Common Good” path when He walked from the throne to a manger, from a manger to a cross, and from the cross to the grave. So let's take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves, what common good will my life bring to those around me this year?
